The Im See nature reserve is located in the Baden-Württemberg community of Krautheim (Neunstetten mark) in the Hohenlohe district .
Characteristics
The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance of the Stuttgart Regional Council of November 22, 2005 and has a size of 8.1 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 1.267. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 344590 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .
location
The protected area is located around 1000 meters north of the Neunstetten district of the municipality of Krautheim and essentially comprises the bodies of water and the banks of the reservoirs there, as well as a wet meadow.
It is located in the natural area 128 - building land within the natural spatial main unit 12 - Gäuplatten in the Neckar and Tauberland and has no direct connection with other protected areas.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the safeguarding, development and preservation of the reservoirs including their structurally rich bank areas as well as the areas that have been withdrawn from agricultural use as a habitat and retreat for numerous, sometimes endangered, plant and animal species, especially as breeding, resting and feeding areas for numerous , partly endangered or endangered bird species. The lake forms a stepping stone biotope of supraregional importance for water-bound migratory bird species.
