Always Again Christmas (OT: Pete's Christmas ) is a Canadian Christmas film from 2013. The television film was directed by Nisha Ganatra . It was produced by Hallmark Entertainment for the Hallmark Channel Original Movies series.

action

Pete, 14, doesn't have it easy: the middle child between his football- loving older brother and the child prodigy Kenny (who is still in bed) doesn't want to succeed at all. And now it's Christmas too. So it is fitting that his grandfather, who has been extremely grumpy since the death of his wife, is at the door. Christmas turns into a catastrophe. Pete's mother has to work because his father lost his job. With so much on their minds, they both forgot Pete's present.

Pete is "finished off" by the neighbor boys in a very one-sided snowball fight and then embarrasses himself at the new neighbor Katie. Then his brother Jake blames him for the broken Christmas tree. When a football match comes up, Pete is also "knocked out". Then they return home, where the roast that their mother made for them is waiting for them because the tree accident had paralyzed the electricity. So they go to a fast food restaurant, where they promptly get food poisoning . When the grandfather leaves the house in an angry mood, the mood is at its lowest point. Shortly before he leaves, Pete gives him an empty box.

This box ensures that Christmas Day repeats itself over and over again. Pete is the only one noticing this, however. After a few disastrous attempts, Pete begins to take advantage of this and first exposes everyone else. But this does not bring the desired result. From Katie, whom he confides in, he receives the tip to do good. And so he begins to shape Christmas day according to his ideas.

He learns the electric guitar , cooks, plays football and begins to create more harmonious relationships with his brothers and parents. He gets his father a job, makes sure Jake looks good at a football game, spends time with his mother, and starts a romance between grandfather and a lonely neighbor. He also makes the family sing for the whole neighborhood.

At the climax, he also invites Katie and her mother over to Christmas dinner so they don't feel so lonely after Katie's father dies. But no matter what he tries, he can't fix the relationship between his dad and grandfather. Again, it's Katie who leads him to point out what they have in common.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, the family recreates the poinsettia that grandmother used to put on the top of the tree and also decorates it with pictures from family life. When grandfather wants to leave, as on the very first day, the family gets in his way.

The curse is now broken and the entire neighborhood comes by next Christmas Day to spend the day with the Kidder family. Pete passes the box that was actually just a broken music box , but now works again, to Katie.
