Inez Turner

Inez Turner (born December 3, 1972 ) is a former Jamaican sprinter and middle distance runner .

Life

She was four times Jamaican champion in the 800-meter run (1991-1992, 1995, 1997) and won this distance in 1993 at the Central America and Caribbean Championships. At the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 , she took fourth place with the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay and reached the semi-finals in the 400 meter run .

She won the Commonwealth Games in Victoria in 1994 over 800 m and was sixth at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 1995 over the same distance.

At the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 , she won the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay. The Jamaican quartet around Turner, Lorraine Fenton , Deon Hemmings and Sandie Richards placed in a national record time of 3: 21.30 minutes behind the teams from Germany and the United States. Turner also started over 400 m in Athens, but retired here in the preliminary round.

Inez Turner is 1.69 m tall and weighed 56 kg during her playing days.
