Inge Taubert

Alma Ingeburg Taubert (born Weidauer; born October 11, 1928 in Zwickau ; † December 10, 2009 in Erlabrunn ) was a German historian of philosophy and editor .

Life

Inge Taubert was the daughter of the former KPD functionary and later Lord Mayor of Dresden Walter Weidauer and his wife Alma Ingeburg Weidauer. After attending elementary school, business school and a preparatory college, Taubert passed her Abitur in 1949. She received her doctorate in 1961 from the Karl Marx University in Leipzig .

Since September 1981 she has been a full professor at the Institute for Marxism-Leninism at the Central Committee of the SED in Berlin .

She edited a volume of the Marx-Engels works . She mainly researched the history of the theory development of the young Karl Marx (especially Die deutsche Ideologie ), but was also involved in the work on the new complete edition ( MEGA 2 ) of his works. In 1988 Taubert was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

From 1990 until 2000 she worked in the Karl-Marx-Haus in Trier on the preparation for the edition of the German Ideology by Marx and Engels . After reunification, she was the honorary chairman of a tenants' association near Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin. In August 2008 she moved to an apartment in a nursing home in the Ore Mountains.

In December 2009 she died at the age of 81 in Erlabrunn Hospital . She had a son.
