Ingmar Koch , also known under his pseudonym Dr. Walker is a German musician from the field of electronic music as well as label operator and live act . He was a member of more than 50 different techno projects, of which Air Liquide (with Cem Oral ), Khan & Walker (with Can Oral ), Global Electronic Network (with Can Oral), Pierrot Premier (with Thomas Thorn), Lovecore ( with Wolfgang Voigt ) and Rei $$ dorf Force (including Jörg Burger ) are among the best known.

Life

Koch met Cem Oral in 1991 in a recording studio in Frankfurt , with whom he founded the Air Liquide project shortly afterwards . In 1992 the first EP of the project Neue Frankfurter Elektronik Schule was released on the Cologne record label Blue, which Koch and Oral had founded together with the musician Jörg Burger. Koch, Oral, Burger and Wolfgang Voigt also founded the acid techno label Structure in 1991 . In 1993, Koch also founded the XXC3 label and the Dj.ungle Fever label .

In 1993 Jörg Burger, Wolfgang Voigt and Koch founded Delirium Köln , a record store that also serves as a label and distributor. Delirium Cologne was later renamed “Compact”.

Starting in the same year, numerous solo releases and collaborations with artists such as Wolfgang Voigt , Biochip C. , Frank Heiss , Thomas Thorn , Jörg Burger , Electric Indigo , Holger Czukay , Adsx , Wulfmanson , Mary S Applegate , Craig Anderton , Omsk Information and Triple R . With Can Oral he published as Khan & Walker and Gizz TV & Walker . In the course of his career, over 700 albums, EPs and singles were created.

In 1996 Koch and Thomas Thorn founded the Cologne electronics bar Liquid Sky Cologne. In 2001 he founded the artist hotel Monte Christo Cologne and the underground technoclub Club Camouflage Cologne in cooperation with Heike Windsberger. In 2012, Koch founded the artist collective and the video art gallery Liquid Sky Berlin .

In 2014 he started the TV project Psychedelic Kitchen and lsb TV in cooperation with the Cologne video artist Uli Sigg. In the following year, Koch founded the online radio Telepathic Bubblebath in cooperation with the Leipzig company Hearthis.at , named after the record label of the same name, and in cooperation with the Berlin company Baeren Siegel GmbH the Internetart / Streetart / Performance Art campaign #scrt_brln. A cooperation with the experimental gallery Neu West Berlin followed in the same year.

In 2016, Koch devoted himself to noise.berlin, a multimedia art project for "noise, distortion and disturbing philosophy".

2017 was dominated by the opening of "Liquid Sky Berlin - # lsb02" - an experimental bar with a video art gallery in the form of a "club within a club" in the Kreuzberg cultural center "Maze".
