Ingrid Kremling

Ingrid Kremling-Domanski (* 1948 in Nuremberg ) is a German opera , lied and concert singer with a lyric-dramatic soprano voice . She has been professor for singing at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater since 1987 .

Life and artistic work

She completed her training at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . This was followed by studies in Amsterdam , Salzburg and Zurich . The young artist won numerous singing competitions, including in Vienna , Berlin , Hanover , Zurich and Paris .

Ingrid Kremling sang on all major and important opera stages: Antwerp , Chicago , Berlin, Hamburg , London , Milan , Munich , New York , Paris, Tokyo , Warsaw and Vienna. On her debut as Arabella in Richard Strauss 's opera of the same name at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, she was enthusiastically celebrated by the American press as a world-class soprano .

As a concert and lieder singer, she was best known as a Mozart and Strauss singer.

Ingrid Kremling is a valued singing teacher. In addition to her commitment as a professor of singing, she gives master classes at home and abroad.

Her students included Angela Denoke , Tabea Fischle , Aleksandra Kurzak , Cathrin Lange , Silke Willmann and Helena Zubanovich .

Numerous television, radio and recordings testify to the versatility of this exceptional artist.
