Ingrid M. Schmeck

Ingrid M. Schmeck (* 1944 in Posen ) is a German draftsman and graphic artist .

life and work

She studied from 1962 to 1967 at the Muthesius Werkkunstschule in Kiel , and from 1971 to 1973 at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg . Since 1974 she has been working as a freelance visual artist in Lübeck and in other European countries. Since 1975 she has been on study trips to Greece , Switzerland and along the Baltic and Mediterranean coasts. In house and city views, she has developed an unmistakable, multi-perspective form of representation. In addition to urban themes, European plant worlds have appeared in her work since the 1990s. One focus is the manifestations of European carnival , especially the customs in the Alemannic region, in Basel and in Lucerne . She has been visiting Morgestraich since 1975 . An important area are maritime motifs, some seascapes , also illustrations of cruises of the Peter Deilmann Reederei . Solo exhibitions in Basel, Berlin, Athens, Aix-en-Provence, Coburg, Eckernförde , Geneva, Goslar, Lübeck, Lucerne, Munich, Zurich and on Sylt.
