Location and promotion opportunities
The Inner Knorrkogel is a summit in the center of the Gschlößkamm between the Outer Knorrkogel ( 2920 m above sea level ) in the east and the Löbbenkopf ( 2917 m above sea level ) in the west. The Inner Knorrkogel is separated from the Outer Knorrkogel by the Knorrscharte ( 2771 m above sea level ) and from the Löbbenkopf by the Löbbentörl ( 2770 m above sea level ). The Karleskees stretch to the north between the Inner and Outer Knorrkogel.
The normal ascent to the Inner Knorrkogel is via the Löbbentörl, which can be reached from the north from Innergschlöß via the Venediger Höhenweg or from the south from the Badener Hütte and from the east via the Wildenkogelweg. From the Löbbentörl itself you can reach the mountain summit after a short ascent over the south ridge ( UIAA I ), and when you climb from Innergschlöß you can also climb over the northwest ridge ( UIAA I ) in almost the same time. The first described ascent of the northwest ridge took place on August 20, 1927 by M. Mayer.
