Inspectah deck

Inspectah Deck (born Jason Hunter on July 6, 1970 in the Bronx , New York ) is an American MC and hip-hop producer. The member of the Wu-Tang clan rapped the first lines of her famous posse cuts Protect Ya Neck and Triumph and has been releasing solo albums since 1999.

He got his name in prison, he alludes there in his quiet and observant way.

Life

Inspectah Deck moved with his parents to Wu-Tang's home town of Staten Island in New York when he was a child . He lived in the Park Hill Projects, where other future clan members were staying. He has been a member since the group started in 1992. Since he was released from prison in 1993, he worked on the first album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) . He played a prominent role on this album: he rapped the beginning on the hit single Protect Ya Neck and had a prominent role on four other tracks on the album: CREAM , Bring da Ruckus , Da Mystery of Chessboxin ' and 7th Chamber . He did not appear as a soloist on the clan's first round of solo releases, but made appearances on GZA's Liquid Swords and Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx . His debut was originally due to be released between 1993 and 1997, but RZA held it back for unknown reasons. His first actual solo track can be found on the soundtrack for Tales from the Hood , but in the liner notes this is attributed to the entire clan.

On the next clan album, Wu-Tang Forever, he rapped the introductory rhymes to the hit single Triumph . The album also included his debut as a producer: he produced the piano-influenced Visionz . In 1999 his solo album Uncontrolled Substance followed , on which he also produced most of the songs. His funk- heavy style was very different from the clan's style at the time. In addition to Deck himself, he also helped RZA, True Master and 4th Disciple as well as Pete Rock on a track . The album, like his next solo release The Movement (2003), achieved rather positive reviews and moderate sales.
