Lingen International Dressage Festival
The Lingen International Dressage Festival took place from 1999 to 2013. It was an international dressage tournament and was one of the most important events of this sport in Germany.
organizer
The organizer of the international dressage festival was the tournament organization Hanekenfähr in Lingen, whose managing director Heinrich Kampmann is active throughout Germany as a mentor and promoter of the dressage sport. The organization took place in cooperation with ESCON-Marketing GmbH from Emstek.
The tournament
The dressage festival took place in the outdoor season on the festival grounds at the Emslandhallen in Lingen (Ems) . Around 20 tests were held in each case, and the starting field comprises around 300 riders. After being held once in 2008 as CDI 5 *, the tournament was held as CDI 4 *.
Traditionally there were many top dressage riders in the starting field. The program includes a Grand Prix Spécial Tour, a Grand Prix Freestyle Tour and dressage tests for riders up to 25 years of age.
In addition to top-class sport, there were also basic tests at the tournament in Lingen. Both young riders and young dressage horses competed in the arena, the latter in a qualification for the Nuremberg Castle Cup . There was also a specialist exhibition on various topics relating to horses under the motto "Emsland - Horse Country".
The tournament was canceled for 2014 because funding for the event was not secured. A year later, the German Dressage Nations Prize ( CDIO ) should be held here, as the CHIO Aachen is not taking place in the usual form this year . Due to the rejection, the German Equestrian Association awarded the CDIO 2015 to Hagen am Teutoburg Forest .
