CDIO Hagen 2015

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The CDIO Hagen 2015 was the German Nations Cup tournament for dressage riders in 2015 . It was carried out from June 8 to 12, 2015 in Hagen am Teutoburg Forest .

Announcement and program

The focus of the tournament program was the CDIO  5 *, the highest category in dressage riding. In addition, examinations were carried out as part of a CDI 4 *, a CDI 1 * and a CDIU25 for riders up to 25 years of age.

The tournament was held at Hof Kasselmann, where, in addition to this tournament, Horses & Dreams and the Nations Cup tournament for all age groups in youth sports in dressage and show jumping take place every year. The tournament was organized by the Reitsportclub Osnabrücker Land e. V. and the PSI Equestrian Organization, also based in Hagen.

The two major program items on Wednesday, July 8th, did not take place in Hagen. In Osnabrück , an opening ceremony was held on the Rathausplatz in the afternoon, followed by a greeting of the nations. In Hagen the veterinary examination ("Vet-Check") was due for the horses on that day. The exams themselves started on Thursday. In addition to a CDI 1 * test, the Grand Prix de Dressage of the CDIO 5 * tour is on the program. This also represents the German dressage nation award 2015.

The first two tests of the CDI 4 * (a Grand Prix de Dressage) and the CDIU25 (an Intermediaire II ) were held on the Friday of the tournament. In addition, the day was the first test, the final of the CDI 1 *, a Intermediaire I , instead.

The exams on Saturday (July 10th) were the Grand Prix Spécial des CDIO 5 *, followed by the Grand Prix U25 as the final of the CDIU25 and the Grand Prix Freestyle of the CDI 4 * tour as the end of the day . Sunday also began with a Grand Prix Spécial, the final exam of the CDI 4 *. The last test of the tournament was the Grand Prix Freestyle of the CDIO 5 * on Sunday afternoon.

All tests of the tournament were broadcast by the German IPTV broadcaster ClipMyHorse.

Award CDIO

The CDIO Hagen 2015 was the 45th German Dressage Nations Cup, seven of which were held in the GDR in the 1970s. The remaining 37 Nations Cups of the Federal Republic of Germany have been organized since 1977 as part of the CHIO Aachen .

After the contract for the 2015 European Championships in Aachen, the organizers of the CHIO Aachen announced that no CHIO would be held that year. First of all, Lingen, which had been the venue for the Lingen International Dressage Festival for many years, was awarded the 2015 Dressage Nations Prize. After Lingen decided not to host the event for financial reasons in January 2014, a new venue was sought. The contract went to Hagen am Teutoburg Forest. Mannheim, which had also expressed interest, did not get a chance in dressage, but in show jumping, the German Nations Cup tournament was held in Mannheim one week after the CDIO Hagen .

The organizers in Hagen and Mannheim caused trouble when the Aachen organizers announced in mid-2014 that a CDI 5 * / CSI 5 * equestrian tournament would be held in Aachen in May 2015. Ullrich Kasselmann as the organizer of the CDIO 2015 criticized: “When we applied, there was no talk of a second tournament besides the European Championship. We have now lost a unique selling proposition. "

Participants and Results

Both the team riders of the CDIO 5 * (with other horses) and other riders can participate in the CDI 1 * and CDI 4 *. As in other years at the CHIO Aachen, the CDI 4 * together with the CDIO 5 * served as a viewing tournament for the following championship (2015: European championships in Aachen) in Hagen.

CDIO 5 *: Nations Cup

Eight teams with three or four riders each and their horses competed at the Nations Cup: Germany, Denmark, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland and the United States. The German team won by a clear margin. In the individual ranking, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and Desperados took first place with a lead of over three percent . With a result of 81.160 percent, she achieved an individual best performance in an international Grand Prix.

CDIU25: U25 team classification

As part of the CDI for riders up to 25 years of age (CDIU25), a team evaluation in the style of a Nations Cup was carried out. An Intermédiaire II was chosen as the test for this , which was played on the tournament Friday from 5:30 p.m. Two or three riders per team could start with their horses, the two best results were included in the result. The German team won, in the individual ranking of Intermédiaire II the victory went to Sanneke Rothenberger with cloud nine .

CDIO 5 *: Grand Prix Spécial

In the Grand Prix Spécial, too, two German team riders were able to place themselves top with an individual best performance: Kristina Bröring-Sprehe came in with Desperados on 83.824 percent (which brought her the victory), Jessica von Bredow-Werndl came in second place with the KPWN stallion Unee with 79.490 percent. The tournament was not very happy for Hubertus Schmidt and his 12-year-old but still relatively inexperienced Trakehner stallion Imperio : After both suffered from a very heavy rain shower in the Nations Cup Grand Prix, which clearly distracted the horse, they came too in the Grand Prix Spécial (eighth place, 73.627 percent) did not come close to the results they achieved at the German championship in Hagen.

Three judges rated the ride with about 78 percent, the overall result (average of the five judges) brought a result of 80.039 percent. Due to the results in Hagen, Rath and Totilas were nominated by the dressage committee for the European Championships 2015, provided that they were fit for the championship.
