The Rosario International Poetry Festival (officially Spanish Festival Internacional de Poesía de Rosario ) (FIPR) takes place annually in Rosario , Argentina , and is run by the Santa Fe Province Cultural Secretariat and the Municipal Secretariat for Culture and Education.

It was founded in 1993 under the name Latin American Poetry Festival Rosario (Spanish Festival Latinoamericano de Poesía de Rosario ). In a few years it developed into a classic in South America and an event unique in Argentina. The festival has had its current name since 2000.

This literary event takes place in the Centro Cultural Roberto Fontanarrosa (Cultural Center Roberto Fontanarrosa , former name until 2007 Centro Cultural Bernardino Rivadavia ). In 2012 the 20th edition was celebrated.

Its aim is to create a space for the oral dissemination of poetry, to recognize the cultural values ​​of each invited country and to deepen aspects of identity. It established itself as one of the most important and prestigious festivals in Latin America, both in terms of the poets invited and in terms of the continuity of the organization.

The Rosario International Poetry Festival has been declared an event of national interest by the Argentine government.
