action
Francesca Anderson lives in an unhappy marriage to her husband Robert. She pays all the more attention to her son James, who reminds her of her late lover Macer, who, as only Francesca knows, is James' true father. Francesca reacts suspiciously to James' friend Julie. In a dispute between his parents, James intervenes and kills Robert. In court, Francesca makes a crucial testimony that leads to James' acquittal. To her chagrin, however, James escapes his mother's care and chooses Julie.
Reviews
"A psychological thriller set in a luxury setting, which suffers from its clichéd disposition when it is well-groomed and superficial and tends to simplify character drawings."
"Romy Schneider deserves the palm of victory for the subtle, nuanced portrayal of a person that a few years ago would not have been even remotely trusted."
“Uninteresting and sentimental. Unnecessary."
