Ioana Gaşpar (born April 17, 1983 in Timişoara ) is a Romanian tennis player .

Career

Gaşpar, who prefers her game on grass, began playing tennis at the age of six.

In 2000 she triumphed in the final of the junior doubles of the Wimbledon Championships , together with Tetjana Perebyjnis , against Dája Bedáňová / María Emilia Salerni 7: 6, 2 and 6: 3.

During her career, she has won six singles and nine doubles titles in the ITF Women's Circuit .

She also played for the Romanian Fed Cup team in 2001 , where she was once victorious in five matches.
