Dája Bedáňová (born March 9, 1983 as Daniela Bedáňová in Ostrava , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech tennis player .

Career

Bedáňová, who started playing tennis at the age of six, became a professional player in 2000. She won a single and a double title in her career on the WTA Tour , both in Bratislava . In 2001 she was in the quarterfinals of the US Open singles , and the following year she did so in the doubles competition at the Australian Open . She reached her best position in the world rankings in July 2002 with position 16.

From 1999 to 2003 she played eight games for the Czech Fed Cup team in six games ; you get three victories.

In 2005 Dája Bedáňová ended her professional career. In April 2010 she married the Czech tennis professional Jan Hájek .
