geography

Gallenbach lies in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country , which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural spatial units in Germany .

Gallenbach is about four kilometers southwest of Aichach. Röckerszell lies to the southeast, Ippertshausen to the south, lower Neulhof and Neumühle to the southwest and upper Neulhof to the west of Gallenbach.

All districts are located to the east of the Paar flowing in a southwest-northeastern direction , with upper Neulhof and lower Neulhof and Neumühle being directly in the Paartal in the immediate vicinity of the river.
The Gallenbach flows through Gallenbach and Ippertshausen, which runs from south to north and flows north of Gallenbach into the Paar as a right tributary.
The Röckerszeller Bach, which flows from west to east and flows north of Sielenbach as a left tributary into the Ecknach, flows through Röckerszell .

In the middle of the district the federal highway 300 runs along the Paar from northeast to southwest, with Neumühle, Oberer Neulhof and Unterer Neulhof to the west and Gallenbach, Ippertshausen, Röckerszell and Windten to the east of the street.
