Sulzbach ( listen ? / I ) is a parish village and district of Aichach in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria . Audio file / audio sample

geography

Sulzbach is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country , which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural spatial units in Germany .

Sulzbach is about five kilometers southwest of the old town of Aichach. The municipality of Obergriesbach lies directly to the south-west of Sulzbach .

500 m east of Sulzbach, the pair flows from southwest to northeast. The Schindbach flows from the north-west of Griesbeckerzell , swings northwards into the Paartal just east of Sulzbach and joins the Paar north of Sulzbach.

The Paartalbahn from Augsburg-Hochzoll to Ingolstadt runs directly east of Sulzbach .

Church of St. Verena

The catholic parish Sankt Verena in Sulzbach belongs to the parish community Obergriesbach in the deanery of Aichach-Friedberg in the diocese of Augsburg.

On January 1, 1972, until then was in the district of Aichach independent municipality Sulzbach in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria incorporated into the town Aichach. On July 1, 1972, Aichach and its districts became part of the newly founded district of Aichach-Friedberg (until April 30, 1973 it was known as the Augsburg-Ost district ).
