Irina Olegowna Belova ( Russian Ирина Олеговна Белова ; born December 28, 1980 in Savolschje , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian rhythmic gymnast and Olympic champion .

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , the 174 cm tall Belowa at the age of 19 won the gold medal in the team competition together with Marija Netjossowa , Irina Silber , Wera Schimanskaja , Natalja Lavrowa and Jelena Schalamowa .

In 2001 she became European champion together with Marija Netjossowa , Olesja Belugina , Wera Schimanskaja , Natalja Lavrowa and Jelena Schalamowa .

Since the end of her sporting career, Belowa has been working as a trainer in Nizhny Novgorod . She is divorced and has two daughters.
