Natalja Alexandrowna Lavrowa ( Russian: Наталья Александровна Лаврова , scientific transliteration Natal'ja Aleksandrovna Lavrova ; born August 4, 1984 in Pensa ; † April 23, 2010 in Pensa) was a Russian rhythmic gymnast and two-time Olympic champion .
Lavrowa started for Dynamo Penza . At her first Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , at the age of 16, she won the gold medal in the team competition together with Irina Belowa , Marija Netjossowa , Wera Schimanskaja , Irina Silber and Jelena Schalamowa . Four years later, at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , Lavrowa was the only remaining Olympic champion from 2000 to win the gold medal in the team competition with Olesja Belugina , Olga Glazkich , Tatjana Kurbakowa , Jelena Mursina and Jelena Possewina .
After the end of her active career, she became a coach and looked after young talents at the Olympic Reserve Center in Moscow .
On April 23, 2010, Natalia Lavrowa was killed in a traffic accident at the age of 25.
