Iris Mayer (* 20th century in Munich ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .

Life

Iris Mayer attended drama school, where she received language training. She played roles in films in the 1960s and 1970s and has appeared in several television productions . As her first film appearance, the film database IMDb has the fairy tale film Frau Holle - The fairy tale of Goldmarie and Pechmarie from 1961, in which she played the role of Pechmarie alongside Lucie Englisch (Frau Holle).

After the fairy tale film, she played the role of Gianna in the crime film The Way Is Dark that same year . In 1962 she played in the TV series Grand Prize: 6 . Mayer worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk in several recordings of the television series Royal Bavarian District Court . In 1973 she was seen in the TV series Mordkommission in the episode Mother Zwilcher in an episode role as Maria.

Mayer often worked as a speaker for radio plays . She was particularly involved in fairy tale radio plays, including as a girl in Die Sterntaler , as a dwarf in Snow White or in the title role of Hans im Glück . In several fairy tales she also took on the role of the narrator. She also recorded records of nursery rhymes. Hans Putz was her partner in some productions .

In the Meister Eder and his Pumuckl radio play series, she appeared in the radio plays Der Wollpullover (1974 as Mrs. Schröder) and as a mother in Pumuckl on witch hunt and Pumuckl and the pudding .

Mayer was also a freelancer for Bayerischer Rundfunk , where she often spoke from off-text to film contributions in the evening show . She also speaks the route commands in a number of car navigation systems . Iris Mayer lives in Munich .
