Isaar (Töpen)
Isaar is a place in the Upper Franconian district of Hof . It belongs to the municipality of Töpen in Bavaria .
location
Isaar is located southwest of Töpen and can be reached by public transport via Bundesstrasse 2 and district road HO 2 . In addition, the district lies in an agriculturally used higher level of the low mountain range between the Thuringian Slate Mountains , the Saale Valley and the Franconian Forest .
history
In Isaar there was an outwork of the Knights of Zedtwitz , which was in front of the original castle of Zedtwitz . The small parish church Isaar began as a chapel and houses a pulpit altar and several epitaphs by von Zedtwitz.
On January 1, 1972 Isaar was incorporated into the municipality of Töpen.
