plant

Isabelle Dutoit works with found and self-created image material as a working basis. She also uses sketches, drawings and works on paper as a basis. Selected z. In her paintings she brings together different elements of the picture. The resulting new rooms offer the recipient space for their own questions and interpretations. At the same time, the work with sensuality, reflection of subjective perception and inner fantasy is reflected in the paintings. The image space is carefully opened to the uncertain and uncanny through the selection, combination and visualization of what is depicted.

“Dutoit celebrates the moment of disappearance; She has always done that, even when she still let people, preferably herself, appear in the clouds of color and then fade away again. In addition, she is a masterful, meticulous draftsman and transmits this gift in delicate glaze painting. The academic finesse flashes briefly, but never gains the upper hand. "
