NGC 2825 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Lynx at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 355 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 100,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2826 , NGC 2830 , NGC 2832 , NGC 2839 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on April 3, 1831 .
