NGC 2835 is a barred spiral galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 30 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on April 13, 1884 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel .
