NGC 2827 = IC 2460 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Lynx in the northern sky . It is an estimated 313 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2823 , NGC 2825 , NGC 2828 , NGC 2830 .
The object was discovered on March 13, 1850 by George Johnstone Stoney .
