IC 2450 is a lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0 in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 70 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 2824 .
The object was discovered on April 9, 1896 by Stéphane Javelle .
