IC 2434 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Lynx in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 320 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 140,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 2759 and IC 527 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 2, 1896 .
