IC 2414 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 190 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 15,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 2672 , NGC 2673 , NGC 2677 , NGC 2667 , among others .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on January 13, 1901 .
