IC 2405 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Lynx in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 344 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 2668 , IC 2400 , IC 2401 , among others .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 2, 1896 .
