IC 2398 is a spiral-shaped radio galaxy from the Hubble type S in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 407 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 2392 , IC 2406 , IC 2407 , IC 2409 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on January 13, 1901 .
