IC 2406 is a lenticular  radio galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 205 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 65,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 2398 , IC 2407 , IC 2409 , IC 2418 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on January 13, 1901 .
