IC 2403 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type S in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 234 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 40,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 2662 .
The object was discovered on March 23, 1898 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
