IC 2433 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 481 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 125,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 2737 and NGC 2738 , among others .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 6, 1896 .
