IC 2446 = IC 2447 is a lens-shaped galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 352 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2789 and IC 2443 .
The object was discovered on April 8, 1896 by Stéphane Javelle .
