NGC 2818 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Pyxis . It has a diameter of 1.4 arc minutes and an apparent magnitude of 8.2 mag. An open star cluster lies in the same line of sight .
NGC 2818 was discovered by the Scottish astronomer James Dunlop on May 28, 1826 .
