NGC 2812 is a lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0 in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 401 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2807 , NGC 2809 , NGC 2813 , IC 2457 .
The object was discovered on February 17, 1865 by the astronomer Albert Marth .
