Anna Isabelle "Bella" Linden (born January 15, 1991 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

societies

Linden began her career at VfR Fischenich before moving to SC Fortuna Köln in the summer of 2006 . There she played in the B-youth and became middle Rhine champion in the 2006/07 season . In the following 2007/08 season, she played in the club's first women's team, although she was actually still eligible to play for the U-17 juniors . During the winter break , she then moved to the Bundesliga club SGS Essen for a year and a half .

For the 2009/10 season , Linden moved to the second division Bayer 04 Leverkusen together with her teammates Francesca Weber and Stephanie Mpalaskas . There she played eight games in the first half of the season. In early 2010 she suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament . As champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South, Bayer 04 Leverkusen were promoted to the Bundesliga at the end of the season . In 2015 Linden went to league rivals 1. FFC Frankfurt . After one season, she moved to Birmingham City on May 23, 2016 , where she signed a three-year contract. On January 17, 2018, she announced her move to 1. FC Köln . In May 2020, Isabelle Linden announced the end of her football career at the end of the season.

National team

After Linden was appointed to the selection of the Mittelrhein Football Association at an early stage, she made the leap to the U-15 national team of the DFB in 2005 . A year later, she played her only game for the U-16 national team as part of the international match against Canada . From 2007 to 2008 she was a member of the U-17 national team . With her she became European champion in 2008 and in the same year took third place at the U-17 World Cup in New Zealand .

Linden has been part of the U-19 national team since 2009, but was seriously injured at the “Ten Nations Tournament” in La Manga in early 2010 . On May 24, 2012 she made her debut for the U-23 national team . On April 1, 2013, Linden was called up for the first time in the senior national team for the international test match against the United States , but had to cancel a short time later due to injury. In the international test match against Canada, she made her debut for the senior team on June 19, 2013, when she came on for Célia Okoyino da Mbabi in the 79th minute . The next day she was appointed to the final EM squad by trainer Silvia Neid . In the tournament that the German team won, it was not used.
