Isabelle Rebecca Redfern (born August 19, 1976 in Munich ) is an American - German actress and singer .

Life

Redfern first studied ethnology , art history and German language and literature at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and sat in with George Tabori and Leander Haußmann at the Residenztheater in Munich . She studied acting at the Hanover University of Music and Theater and graduated with a diploma . At the same time, she received singing lessons from Carol Richardson-Smith, Charlotte Lehmann and later from Miriam Gordon-Stewart . She also studied music at the Berlin University of the Arts .

The production by Anta Helena Recke was invited to the Theatertreffen in 2018 and won the ITI Prize in 2019. Isabelle Redfern has been a member of the Schaubühne Berlin ensemble since 2019.

As a member of the opera choir of the Bayreuth Festival , she sang in the Wagner operas Lohengrin , Parsifal , Meistersinger and Tannhäuser in 2010 and 2011 . With the Company MamaNoSing she realized own music theater projects. The first recording of the melodrama Electra by Christian Cannabich, conducted by Frieder Bernius, was made with the Musikpodium Stuttgart and SWR in 2019.

In 2014 she could be seen in the cinema adaptation of Sönke Wortmann's lap prayers . In 2015 she also took part in the episode Fremde Heimat on the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante .
