history

Isingen is first handed down in 786, when the St. Gallen monastery received property here. Until Rosenfeld was founded, Isingen was the center of the Kleines Heuberg . Isingen fell to Württemberg in 1317 through the dukes of Teck . From then on, Isingen was part of the Rosenfeld office . After its dissolution in 1808, the place belonged to the Oberamt Sulz and from 1938 to the district of Balingen .

On January 1, 1974, Isingen was incorporated into the city of Rosenfeld.

economy

Linen is woven on eleven looms in Isingen in 1868. A brewery and a distillery each employ two workers.

Agriculture

In addition to agriculture and cattle breeding, Isingen also grows fruit in 1863. Fruit-growing is considerable and, in favorable years, permits not insignificant sales to the outside world; it is preferable to plant Luiken, rose apples, leather apples, fleiner, pear pears, pear pears and a lot of plums. Almost every citizen owns a small tree nursery from which he not only obtains his own need for young trunks, but also sells it to the outside world. The fruits are mainly sold on the Schrannen in Sulz and Rottweil, many are bought up by traders, so-called sellers, and sold to Baden and Switzerland. In the land register, the use of the hard shoulder in Württemberg was regulated by easements . In addition to King Wilhelm , the Brethren also gave away fruit trees. The orchards are not only so valuable because of their landscape-defining importance, but also because of their ecological wealth. They offer a habitat for many endangered animal and plant species and serve as a local recreation area. Above all, the old varieties, which are now almost unknown, turn out to be special aromatic carriers when they are further processed into fruit specialties. Today 40 types of dessert fruit thrive in Isingen despite the altitude.

religion

Isingen's population today is predominantly Protestant . In terms of church, Rosenfeld was a branch of Isingen, whose parish at that time also included the places Binsdorf and Erlaheim. All deceased were buried in Isingen. A chapel is mentioned in Rosenfeld as early as 1319. It is believed that the church was built around 1265. The pastors only moved from Isingen to Rosenfeld after the Reformation . The pastors were nominated by the Johanniterkommende Rottweil and confirmed by Württemberg. Isingen was only separated from the parish of Rosenfeld in 1869 and raised to its own parish. Later the Protestant residents from Binsdorf and Erlaheim (1986) were assigned to it. These places remained Catholic after the Reformation. Protestant residents moved to these places only after the Second World War. Erlaheim initially belonged to the parish of Ostdorf, from 1949 to the parish of Rosenfeld and was assigned to the parish of Isingen in 1986. On January 1, 2007, the Isingen parish moved to the Balingen parish at its own request. Since 2018, Isingen has formed a joint parish with Rosenfeld.
