Ismail Issa Mustafa ( Bulgarian Исмаил Иса Мустафа ; born June 26, 1989 in Targovishte ) is a Bulgarian - Turkish football player . Since February 2018 he has been under contract with FC Dunaw Russe in Bulgaria .
society
Ismail Issa started his career in his hometown at PFC Swetkawiza. His first professional club was the FK Chaskowo in the 2006/07 season. After the striker scored 14 goals in 32 games there, he was signed by Levski Sofia . Levski Sofia awarded Issa to the OFK Sliven 2000 for the 2008/09 season . In the following season he was awarded by Sofia to Locomotive Mesdra . From summer 2010 he will play for Levski Sofia again for one season and will be number 29 there.
Since he has both Bulgarian and Turkish citizenship, he can be used in the Turkish leagues without blocking a foreigner place. As a result, he was watched by several Turkish first and second division clubs. So he moved to the Turkish first division club Karabükspor for the 2011/12 season . Here he could not prevail and was only used in three league games and one cup game. During the winter break he was loaned to the second division side Elazığspor until the end of the season. With this club he celebrated the runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus the direct promotion to the highest Turkish league . After he returned to Karabükspor in the summer of 2012, he dissolved his contract by mutual agreement with the club's management and separated from this club.
For the 2012/13 season he was hired by the Bulgarian first division club Litex Lovech . In the summer of 2013 he moved to Sheriff Tiraspol in the Moldovan Divizia Națională . There he won the championship in 2014 and missed defending his title a year later. In the summer of 2015, he joined Beroe Stara Sagora . A year later he returned to Moldova, this time for FC Dacia Chișinău .
In 2017 Issa moved again to his home country Bulgaria . First for FC Wereja Stara Sagora and since 2018 he has played for FC Dunaw Russe .
National team
On February 7, 2015, he came to his only appearance in the senior national team in the friendly against Romania (0-0) in Aksu, Turkey . Issa was in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 70th minute for Radoslav Vasilev .
