Iván Antonio Marín López
Iván Antonio Marín López (born May 13, 1938 in Jardín ) is a Colombian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Popayán .
Life
Iván Antonio Marín López was ordained a priest on December 8, 1964 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him secretary of the Pontifical Council "Cor Unum" in 1992
On April 19, 1997 he was appointed Archbishop of Popayán. He received his episcopal ordination on June 6th of the same year by the President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace , Roger Cardinal Etchegaray ; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Paolo Romeo , Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia , and Alberto Giraldo Jaramillo PSS , Archbishop of Medellín .
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on May 19, 2018.
