Ivan Neville (born August 19, 1959 in New Orleans ) is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist (including keyboard ) and songwriter of rhythm & blues and rock.

life and career

Ivan is the son of Aaron Neville . He played on some of his father's solo albums and with other members of the Neville Brothers .

Ivan Neville released several solo albums, including his debut album If my anchestors could see me now (Polydor 1988) with the Billboard Top 40 hit Not just another girl .

He played with Paula Abdul , Don Henley , Robbie Robertson , Rufus and Delbert McClinton and was a member of the Spin Doctors (around 2000, on the album Here comes the bride ). From 1985 to 1987 he was part of Bonnie Raitt's band . He played keyboard on two Rolling Stones albums (Dirty Work 1986, Voodoo Lounge) and was a member of Keith Richards ' solo band X-Pensive Winos , on whose solo debut album Talk is Cheap (1988) he played and toured with .

In 2003 he founded the funk band Dumpstaphunk for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival . They played with BB King on a tribute album for Fats Domino in 2007 . In 2010 her album Everybody wants Sum was released .

Ivan Neville co-organized a benefit album Sing me back home after Hurricane Katrina and played in several benefit concerts.
