Izolda Barudžija

Izolda Barudžija ( Serbian - Cyrillic Изолда Баруджија ; * 1963 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian pop singer .

Izolda studied journalism and political science at the University of Belgrade.

She was a singer with the girl group Aska and took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for Yugoslavia in 1982 . A year later, she and her sister Eleonora were the backing vocalist for singer Daniel , who took 4th place. In 1984 she sang the pop song Ciao Amore for Yugoslavia in a duet with Vlado Kalember at the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1984 in Luxembourg . They only reached the penultimate place.

Barudžija moved to Germany in 2001 with her husband Zlatko Manojlović, a Belgrade guitarist. Since then she has been working as a singing teacher and choir director, among others in Mannheim, Düsseldorf and Bottrop. The couple have one son and live in Essen.
