Berta Ambrož
Berta Ambrož (born October 29, 1944 in Tržič , now Slovenia ; † July 1, 2003 ) was a Yugoslav singer.
Live and act
Her career began in 1965. She represented Yugoslavia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1966 with the song Brez besed (composed by Mojmir Sepe , texted by Elza Budau). This was the first ESC contribution in the Slovenian language , it reached the 7th place. The Spanish contribution Eres tú , which took 2nd place at the Eurovision Song Contest 1973 , was described as a plagiarism of this song, but was not disqualified.
In 1969 Berta Ambrož withdrew into private life, she lived in Kranj .
