The Jílovský potok (German: Eulabach , also Eulaer Bach ) is a left tributary to the Elbe in the Czech Republic .
The stream rises in the transition area between the Ore Mountains and Bohemian Switzerland . Its source is located north of the village Nakléřov ( Nollendorf ) not far from the well-known Nollendorfer Pass ( Nakléřovský průsmyk ) at an altitude of 711 m above sea level. NN. From there it flows in a westerly direction at the foot of Bohemian Switzerland in the direction of Děčín ( Tetschen ), where it flows into the Elbe after a run of 21.15 km. The opening is located near the Pastýřská Stena ( Schäfer wall ) at a height of 122 m above sea level. NN. The catchment area of Jílovský potok covers 76.16 km², its average water flow is 0.71 m³ / s.
The largest settlements in the valley of the river are Libouchec ( Royal Forest ), Jílové u Děčína ( Eula ) and Děčín. From Libouchec the valley takes on the traffic routes of the trunk road 13 Teplice ( Teplitz ) - Děčín and the railway line Krupka ( Graupen ) - Děčín. Of the numerous bridges over the Jílovský potok, the Sheep Bridge ( Ovčí můstek ) in Děčín , which Günter von Bünau had built in 1561, is particularly noteworthy .
