Jörg-Dieter Haas
Jörg-Dieter Haas (born November 10, 1938 in Rosenheim ; † August 30, 2012 ) was a German dramaturge , theater director and theater director .
Life
From 1955 to 1958 Haas studied theater studies , German literature and art history at the University of Erlangen with Professor Wolfgang Baumgardt. In 1958 he went to Berlin and started his work at the student stage at the Free University , from which the Schaubühne on Halleschen Ufer emerged in 1962 .
Until 1972, Haas worked at the Schaubühne as an actor , assistant director , dramaturge and director. His most important production at this time was Bertolt Brechts Baal . In 1972 he became dramaturge at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich under Kurt Meisel . From 1979 to 1982 he was chief dramaturge here. The directors he worked with included Luc Bondy , Ingmar Bergman , Jürgen Flimm , Hans Hollmann and Karl Paryla . He himself staged The Medal and Bridal Show by Ludwig Thoma .
In 1983 Haas became the artistic director and manager of the Munich Volkstheater . Own directorial work, each individually adapted, were The Sold Grandfather by Anton Hamik and Birnbaum and Hollerstauden by Joseph Maria Lutz . In 1988 he was followed by Ruth Drexel as director of the Volkstheater.
