Jörg Sprecher (born March 12, 1907 in Zurich , † December 22, 1997 in Chur , reformed , resident in Davos , Küblis , Maienfeld and Jenins ) was a Swiss military .

Life

Jörg Sprecher von Bernegg was born on March 12, 1907 in Zurich as the son of the secretary of the Swiss Trade and Industry Association Jakob Hektor Sprecher and Elisabeth-born Pestalozzi. After attending school in Zurich and Chur, Sprecher studied law at the universities of Bern , Munich , Königsberg , Bonn and Basel between 1926 and 1934 , which he obtained in 1934 with the academic degree of Dr. iur. graduated in Basel.

As a result, Jörg Sprecher started his military career in the Swiss Army . From 1937 to 1961 he served as an artillery instruction officer . In 1940 spokesman was accepted into the general staff . Between 1952 and 1953 he was Chief of Staff of Division 8, then in 1961 as Commander of Mountain Brigade 12 and most recently from 1962 to 1969 of Mountain Division 12 .

Jörg spokesman, a nephew of Theophil spokesman von Bernegg , married Marie-Rose Bridel, the daughter of divisional general Gustave Bridel, in 1939 . He died on December 22, 1997 at the age of 91 in Chur.

The conservative and native Walser Jörg Sprecher campaigned in communal and cantonal bodies as well as in foundations for the protection of Graubünden's cultural assets.
