Jörn Axel Kämmerer

Jörn Axel Kämmerer (born January 14, 1965 in Braunschweig ) is a legal scholar and has held the chair for public law , international and European law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg since 2000 .

He studied law in Tübingen and Aix-en-Provence , passed the Maîtrise en droit in 1988 and the first state examination in 1991. From 1991 to 1995 he was a certified research assistant at the University of Tübingen.

In 1993 Jörn Axel Kämmerer received his doctorate with a thesis on "The Antarctic in the spatial and environmental protection regime of international law". He passed the second state examination in law in 1995. In the same year he was appointed assistant to Wolfgang Graf Vitzthum , and in 2000 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on “Privatization. Typology - Determinants - Legal Practice - Consequences ”. Also in 2000 he accepted an offer at the Bucerius Law School.

His main research interests are international business law , the law of stateless areas , European competition law , public companies , privatization , regulation and federalism .

Since 2016 he has been Secretary General of the Societas Iuris Publici Europaei (SIPE) .

Jörn Axel Kämmerer is involved in a commentary on the administrative procedural rules for the Temporary Employment Act.
