Florian Faust
Florian Faust (* 1964 in Regensburg ) is a German legal scholar and holder of the chair for civil law , commercial and economic law and comparative law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg . He studied at the Universities of Regensburg and Geneva . After taking his first state examination in 1989, he earned a Master of Laws from the University of Michigan in 1991 .
From 1989 he was a research assistant at the University of Regensburg with Ingo Koller . In 1993 he passed the second state examination. In 1996 Florian Faust received his doctorate with a thesis on "The predictability of damage in accordance with Art. 74 sentence 2 UN Sales Convention (CISG)". In 2001 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on "Deception through false information before the conclusion of a contract - prevention and compensation in civil law and business law".
After a two-semester substitute at the University of Cologne , he was appointed to the Bucerius Law School in 2002. His main research areas are contract law, commercial and competition law and the economic analysis of law. Faust commented in Bamberger / Roth , in AnwaltKommentar and juris -Praxiskommentar BGB. He turned down a call to the University of Regensburg.
