Jürgen Diesel

Jürgen Diesel (born January 4, 1926 in Berlin ; † November 5, 1993 in Pech , Wachtberg ) was a German ambassador .

Life

Jürgen Diesel's parents were Countess Anna-Luise von Waldersee (born October 30, 1899 in Hühnerland ; † July 16, 1985) and Eugen Diesel . Jürgen Diesel was used in the Wehrmacht and in World War II . From 1948 to 1952 he studied in Erlangen and Munich jurisprudence and in 1952 to reform of family law with regard to the equality of men and women Art. 3, para. II of the Basic Law for Doctor of Law doctorate . In 1952, Diesel joined the foreign service and attended the diplomat school in Speyer. From 1954 to 1956 he was attaché in Santiago de Chile and from 1956 to 1961 counselor in Caracas . From 1961 to 1964 he was first class member of the Legation in the Department of Disarmament of the Foreign Office in Bonn. From 1964 to 1968 Diesel was an observer during the disarmament negotiations at the international organizations in Geneva . For Diesel, the reason for the rapprochement between the Soviet and US governments on the issue of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons was unclear. From 1969 to 1979 Diesel was employed in the planning staff of the Foreign Office and from 1970 to 1971 in the personnel department.
